Our Big News!

I guess since I just announced it on Facebook, I'd better cover my bases and announce it here also:) We will be having a baby Mid-May and YES it is a BOY! Greg is super excited, I'm a little nervous (after being immersed in girly things for 7 years:), and the girl's can't wait to baby-sit a baby brother named "Peter Deter" or "Treat." The idea has been growing on me now, but when I shop I can't stop looking at all the cute girl clothes and forget that I now have to look at boy clothes also, as we are basically starting all over in that department:)
On to other news- our Holidays have been great! The girl's were amazingly spoiled by all and we had lots of fun spending time with family. The house is now put back in order- no, I can't leave it up 'till New Years- and we are headed to Wayne County to spend New Years with Greg's sister so the cousins can all have a big sleepover. The only gift I wanted- a picture of the Manti Temple where Greg and I were married oh so many years ago:)The only thing Em wanted from Santa- a new bike.At the Cook Christmas party- we couldn't get Oni off Guitar Hero. I must admit- it is addicting:)I've loaded 170 songs on their new MP3 players- they love having Disney, The Primary Songbook, and Kidz Bop at their finger tips:)
The girls will not take off these hats- thanks Rie! Hope everyone's Holidays have been wonderful!!!

'Tis the Season . . .

The holidays have officially begun at our house when . . .
The Christmas Cards are printed and ready to go . . .
The tree is decorated at Family Home Evening (we decided to hide the "nice" decorations this year since we have a two year old in the house) . . .
The Princesses are on the window (& re-arranged a 100 times a day). . .
Mr. Snowman's family is together again . . .
Last year's Christmas cards are up and waiting to be replaced by this years (hint hint). . .
The stockings are hung . . .
The Little People Nativity is being carted from room to room . . . to room . . .
There's fun to be had in the 1st "little" snow storm . . .
The leaves are all raked off the lawn- with little helpers . . . helping???
We hope everyone is enjoying this fun Holiday Season. I know the spirit of Christmas is very infectious at our house right now- especially after our Christmas Elf made his annual "appearance":) Now- it's off to 4 parties in one week- obviously everyone had the same idea of getting them out of the way early:)

Busy Month!

This month has just flown by & we are loving it. As a lot of you know it is my favorite time of the year- the fall leaves, pumpkins, hot cider & caramel apples, cooler weather (although didn't love the snow thank you!), Halloween & Trick-or-Treating, & fun costumes (not for me though- I'm a stick in the mud:) It is all just great and I love to see the joy and wonder as my kids get excited for the holidays. I also got to go on our 2nd Annual Girl's Weekend with my Sister-In-Law's to St. George: we saw Aida at Tuachann & shopped our little hearts out! These are my cute SIL's & the beautiful red cliffs at Tuachann.Painting pumpkins & favorite cider mugs (with scary dogs and witches fingers with blood- a Cook tradition).
Plus, the tramatic experience of losing the first tooth trying to bite open the paint container. Oni finally decided it was O.K. to give it to the Tooth Fairy & get $1. But she is FOR SURE keeping her next baby tooth. That's our Hoarder- takes after someone we all know & love:)

Em's 2nd Birthday

Thanks everyone for Em's fun presents and for celebrating with us. We are so grateful to have her as a part of our family- spunk and all:) She makes us laugh every single day and she is such a talker- my favorite are "I don't want it," Watch a moo-ey?" and "Mom- watch me."
On a side note- Oni & Havie attended the G-gettes Mini Drill Camp for a week and got to perform at the High School football game. They say they are both DEFINATELY taking Dance next year- they sure had a lot of fun dancing with all their little cute friends. You can see more pictures that my friend, Holly, took on Facebook in our tagged photos- if you are so inclined:)
